Between 2005 and 2018, data from consecutive adult patients admitted to two French ICUs for CSE was subjected to retrospective evaluation, after which these cases were added to the Ictal Registry retrospectively. A Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) score of 3 prior to hospitalization was deemed indicative of pre-existing functional impairment.
